W0: EXECUTION
In the morning at 12:30pm sharp, you hear the intercom speakers blare loudly across the entire airport, perfectly audible no matter where you are.
Hopefully that’s not quite as long a trek as Saturday for you. All the same, you are propelled by that same sensation to come to the Flight Deck. Your feet carry you past that glass doors onto the outdoor terrace, where the benches and quaint planters await. Why, it’d look almost serene if not for the fact that one of you appears to be missing. There’s really only one place they could be, isn’t there? Your gaze might eventually settle over the runway you can see out below—the view is great from up here.
While you're not forcibly rooted to your seats, there's no way out. The glass doors close behind the last person and refuse to budge, and the viewing glass is just as unbreakable. As for any open areas, the invisible forcefield is working so very hard on this Sunday.
Oh, and because I’m sure this is the most pressing question on your mind: yes, Allstars Coffee is still serving hot beverages and small baked eats, even during execution. That’s what you need during stressful situations, right? More commemoration ASS caffeine? Yes, we thought so. You’re welcome.
In just a few minutes, the combatants approach, as helpful screens light up to further help you understand today's proceedings.

Did you ever bother watching these?
no subject
During that trial period, yeah. I don't usually watch them anymore, though.
no subject
I didn't watch a lot of them, at first. Just checked in to see how things were going while working on other things. The girls always attended though. [ ... ] But I went with them for the last couple of them.
no subject
Mm. They were on TV so I could just watch them from my office. In person is... something. [ just kind of watching boothill shoot i guess. ] Colorful.
no subject
I was watching from my own office but the last two I kinda had some personal stakes in. [ why is this man shooting color. he's also extremely not at all thrilled with anders being shot at, but he has his magic apparently. so that helps. ]
This is... weird.
no subject
she has to. squint a little to remember which executions those were, but then nods... ] This how it worked in Chroma...? He's got his magic, so that's good. [ probably. ]
no subject
Not that good. [ jesus, why!!! ]

hm. yes, he can imagine what she might be thinking, so he's just loosely looping an arm around her from where he's leaning and watching this as well. welcome back, justice x2 ]

dumbass.
he won't point this out and will just continue keeping a loose grip on her and wordlessly watching because this is still, uh, a lot? this is still a lot. ]

i have no idea how this is working if he's suddenly holding both her and kazuki or what's happening but whatever the fuck, this is still somehow a lot to process, moreso when he can see her repeating it. it's also why his hand comes up to tug on her hair gently to get her to focus a bit. enough.
looking at this extremely mangled man still fighting to hang on is... oof. ]
no subject
she is still watching though. actually - a little more focused after he pulls her hair. blinking a few times like she maybe spaced out for a second, but now her attention is sharp again. just in time for boothill's voice to static out like shorting electronics. ]
no subject
he doesn't expect her to really stop because she's herself, it was simply an offer. he doesn't try to stop her from watching either, mostly keeping her caged in for the time being while also keeping his gaze focused on the runway below them. he hears the words from boothill and he frowns a little because... it's still unfair, in a way.
this is one of the things he always goes back and forth on. yes, it is "fair" to vote for someone who does something wrong. no, it isn't "fair" to punish someone who actually didn't do this themselves. but it's not like fairness makes sense anyway, so here they are. ]
Almost over.
no subject
... Almost. [ watches a man get stabbed in the heart with way too much focus i guess. ]
no subject
anyway he's not surprised so he just kind of lets her watch and watches himself and thinks about anders' extremely cursed knife all over again. yee fucking haw. ]
I can't regrow someone's hand this time. [ sort of just mumbled. ] Kinda thinking the defibrillator can't either.
