In the morning at 11:30am sharp, you hear the intercom speakers blare loudly across the entire airport, perfectly audible no matter where you are.

All passengers, please report to Terminal 0 Gate Area effective immediately. All passengers, please report to Terminal 0 Gate Area effective immediately...

...But that's so far...! Groan. Still—even if you try your best to resist, you'll find your body moving against your will and taking you all the way over there anyway. After what feels like forever of walking, you'll arrive to the gate and see that a few things are different. Most of you probably had a feeling this is what you should expect, right?

The gate has been refurnished a little bit for the proceedings today. The metal gates will not let anyone out of the Gate Area without permission, but at least there's some snacks set out, and Allstars Coffee is still open in case you need a coffee break. Your Hosts await you near the front behind the counters, carrying various, but all expectant attitudes. After all, we knew this was coming.

Welcome to trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will need to discuss the circumstances, investigate relevant locations, and put together theories about the truth behind this week's murders!

Trial will last from 9am PST/12pm EST until 6pm PST/9pm PST. There will be an hour-long break starting 1pm PST/4pm EST; while players are free to continue tagging during this time, it is intended to allow players to take a minute to eat, rest, what have you.

Note: DM the mods if you intend to use a curse during trial. Curse duration may be altered or subject entirely to mod approval depending on how many curses are in play. Curse duration must end before break.

Lastly, voting is mandatory. Please be absolutely sure to get your IC vote in before the end of trial, or there are severe IC consequences!

[ They're relatively small, and somewhat disc-like. Rounded at one end and seemingly torn on the other. They're also wet, but that's a given considering where they were found. ]

[ They are not. These are completely opaque in colour, no translucency, and the texture is very similar to actual flesh, sort of. ]

ok no uh. what if he picks them up, rather than just poking at them? what consistency are they? are they totally solid (as solid as flesh can get i guess...) or more like jello? ]

[ They feel pretty solid, as solid as flesh can get! Flexible. ]

what exactly does "seemingly torn" mean? like, ripped straight off of someone's body? no blood residue? ]

[ It's hard to tell but the opposite end that isn't a smooth curve does seem like it was torn or ripped in some manner, it's uneven and all.

It was sitting in piranha water for a while so it's not actively bloody but the torn end does look like it was bleeding, maybe. It's a darker reddish there. ]

[ is the "disc shape" an actual thing, like it was specifically cut or ripped off that way, or it just so happened to be that shape as it was... torn off... and sat in the water for a while... ]

[ It's disc-like in that it's kind of flat, and the non torn end is curved. It looks like it's always been this shape.

The curved end is also kind of like.... the outer shape is curved, but it also kind of curves inward too, like a partial piece of a very shallow bowl with a very curled in lip. ]

[ if ichiban... like... takes the bits and compares it to his own body (closes eyes), can he get a sense of potentially what body parts these may have come from. ]

Not a match for fingers and toes. It's technically wider than either of those, and flatter. ]

[ The texture feels the most similar here by far! But what you have in your hands is maybe a bit more stiff than an earlobe? ]

[ Whoa crazy! Now that you've put it up against those, you definitely see the resemblance! ]
