In the morning at 11:30am sharp, you hear the intercom speakers blare loudly across the entire airport, perfectly audible no matter where you are.

All passengers, please report to Terminal 0 Gate Area effective immediately. All passengers, please report to Terminal 0 Gate Area effective immediately...

...But that's so far...! Groan. Still—even if you try your best to resist, you'll find your body moving against your will and taking you all the way over there anyway. After what feels like forever of walking, you'll arrive to the gate and see that a few things are different. Most of you probably had a feeling this is what you should expect, right?

The gate has been refurnished a little bit for the proceedings today. The metal gates will not let anyone out of the Gate Area without permission, but at least there's some snacks set out, and Allstars Coffee is still open in case you need a coffee break. Your Hosts await you near the front behind the counters, carrying various, but all expectant attitudes. After all, we knew this was coming.

Welcome to trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will need to discuss the circumstances, investigate relevant locations, and put together theories about the truth behind this week's murders!

Trial will last from 9am PST/12pm EST until 6pm PST/9pm PST. There will be an hour-long break starting 1pm PST/4pm EST; while players are free to continue tagging during this time, it is intended to allow players to take a minute to eat, rest, what have you.

Lastly, voting is mandatory. Please be absolutely sure to get your IC vote in before the end of trial, or there are severe IC consequences!

DM the mods if you intend to use a curse during trial. Curse duration may be altered or subject entirely to mod approval depending on how many curses are in play. Curse duration must end before break.

[ Listen but you can tell they are cheaply made... it is not high quality wood... this airport should have splurged for this, how dare they.

Kaworu peels off the blanket respectfully covering Anders and... he's there! All of him is there, thankfully, as far as you can tell at a first glance. He's in this uniform, and you can tell he's quite bloody off the bat. ]

[Thank god he died wearing something cvnty. So proud of you dad, you went out like an icon.

He swallows. He doesn't mind the sight of blood but he dislikes the smell. Well, suck it up and push through. Let's start with the blood... are there any obvious sources?]

[ You're right... Anders died as he lived... meowsandrist and cvnty...

Well it's pretty hard to miss that there's something most definitely off about his head, but a huge majority of the blood all over him seems to be coming from a deep wound on his neck. Which part of his body do you want to look more closely at first? ]

[Well, that's an obvious place but let's start from the top... checking his hair, face, back of his head for anything that might be there besides blood.]

[ Okay well for starters

It appears he has been shot in the hecking face! Right between the eyes, which are still open too.

Examining his overall head, Kaworu finds nothing in his hair. He has ear piercings, both a golden one as well as what appears to be a safety pin in his cartilage. There is also nothing on the back of his head. ]

[Touches the piercings a little fondly. Presumably they are normal?

And well! That's cool. Did the bullet go clean through or is it still embedded in his skull? What's the size of the bullet hole? Also, what expression is on his face? Do the his open eyes seem to match it?]

[ There doesn't seem to be anything off about them. No terrible ear infection woes...

There's no exit wound, so it doesn't seem the bullet pierced through his head. There is a shot wound between his eyes, but it's too dark and a bit bloody to be able to see without the aid of a light. However, it's not too large of a bullet hole.

No particular expression to be had on his face. It is Corpse Neutral. ]

[Well, he's got a phone with a light so he's going to shine it into the wound to see if he can see anything inside.]

[ Kaworu can see the glint of something metallic deep inside Anders's forehead... besides all the other things there. It's pretty deep in there though, it doesn't feel likely that he'd be able to get it out. ]

[picking up a pliers from here and returning to the body.

He inhales and works to extract the bullet.]

[ It's a grody process, and slow if Kaworu is being very careful with it... but eventually, Kaworu will succeed in extracting one (1) bullet!

Shining a light back in there reveals no further glinting bits. ]

[It's grody but he's trying not to think of it. Once extracted, he'll setting the bullet aside as evidence and return the pliers. Once back, he reaches over to close Anders' eyes before moving on.

The deep wound in his neck, how long and exactly how deep is it?]

[ It's a horizontal slash right across the length of his throat. It's pretty deep and can be reasonably concluded that it is likely the source of the majority of the blood across Anders's front. ]

[peripheries]

[When we're talking length of his throat, are we talking in the front under his chin or the side of his neck or almost ear to ear? Aside from blood, is there anything else noticeable on his front beneath the feathers of his collar or under the jacket?]

[ It's across the front, basically right across the middle of his throat.

It's hard to tell if there's anything else underneath because of all the blood but also his cvnty coat covering him up pretty well. It'd have to be removed to get a better look.

However, looking at some of the feathers, a few of them seem a little misshapen. ]

[He will check the feathers before removing the coat just in case that might further damage them. Can he tell what might have caused them to become misshapen? Is it concentrated in one area? When he removes the cvnty coat (tragedy... i hope it can be cleaned) he'll inspect the feathers once more to see if the new angle provides new information and then check Anders' front beneath the coat.]

[ The feathers seem... singed! It's not particularly concentrated in any one area, but seem broad and general across Anders's outfit. It's hard to tell if there's any specific angle they're singed from, just that they're singed.

With his coat off, Kaworu can see that Anders is pretty skinny and very scarred up. There's a relatively newer-looking scar at his midsection, a scarred over injury at one shoulder, and another scar that looks like something took a chunk out of his chest.

Many of these are marred with light burns across his body in general of miscellaneous shape and size.

Is Kaworu just checking the front by opening up Anders's coat, or is he fully taking it off? ]

[Why are we the skinny little guy/big guy duo...

Due the fact that Kaworu and Anders have been living together prior to AllStarz, is it fair to assume Kaworu would be able to recognize scars that Anders had previously?

Also these burn marks on his torso, are they in any sort of pattern or concentrated anywhere?

Initially Kaworu had just opened up the front, but after seeing the burns, he'd take off the coat to investigate further to see if they are also on his back and arms.]

[ Yeah, Kaworu can recognise a majority of Anders's scars and recognise that a good number of these came from execution as well.

There's no particular pattern to be found on the burn marks on Anders's front.

As Kaworu pulls the coat off of Anders's body, he can see that the left sleeve is missing, and also feel something catch on the fabric around the sleeve area of Anders's right arm around the hand. ]

[Kaworu will take the hand in order to see what caused the fabric to catch. He will also inspect the hand to see if there's any injuries, residue, or markings anywhere as well. And just to be safe he'll also check inside the right sleeve of the jacket where it caught.]

[ What's Anders got?



A knife! His hand was grasping this thing pretty tightly, and both the knife and his hand are covered in blood. His arm also seems to have a few singes and burns.

There's nothing on the inside of his sleeve... besides blood, I suppose. ]

The Murder Knife (TM)?! 🥹

Going to take it out of Anders' grip and set it aside since I assume any further investigation belongs in evidence. From a glance, can he tell if the knife seems like it possibly could have made the slash in Anders' throat based on the size of the cut or is that also evidence?

Beyond that, he'll inspect the rest of the coat. Anything in the pockets (if it has pockets)? Any more burns, stains, or tears? And the missing left sleeve, is the sleeve missing right at the armhole like the seam ripped or lower down like the fabric itself was cut or shredded?]

[ Correct! Details about the knife would have to be inspected in its own evidence check tl......... but I mean Kaworu has eyes and has seen this thing being Anders's roomie and stuff so yeah it's the Murder Knife lmao. Wow!

Based on a glance, it IS a sharp item and an inspection on the throat wound does seem to have been made by some manner of sharp object, so Kaworu can reasonably theorise that this knife may have been a cause for it. Is he actively comparing the knife directly to the wound right now, rather than making a visual estimate?

You can raid Anders's pockets and find his phone! The coat itself seems fine outside of the aforementioned blood and singed feathers, and the left sleeve is missing from the elbow down and the fabric itself seems shredded there. ]

[EXTREMELY TEMPTED TO JUST POCKET THIS KNIFE. But yeah he'll do an active comparison with Murder Knife to the neck wound just to satisfy his own need know one way or another.

After that he will check around Anders' waist to see if he had anything else used to carry things like a satchel or belt pouch.]

[ The knife in Anders's possession is a match to his throat slash.

Based on his outfit pic, doesn't seem like he'd have a satchel or belt pouch. What else on him would you like to check over? There's still his legs, and turning him over in general as well. ]
