In the morning at 11:30am sharp, you hear the intercom speakers blare loudly across the entire airport, perfectly audible no matter where you are.

All passengers, please report to Terminal 0 Gate Area effective immediately. All passengers, please report to Terminal 0 Gate Area effective immediately...

...But that's so far...! Groan. Still—even if you try your best to resist, you'll find your body moving against your will and taking you all the way over there anyway. After what feels like forever of walking, you'll arrive to the gate and see that a few things are different. Most of you probably had a feeling this is what you should expect, right?

The gate has been refurnished a little bit for the proceedings today. The metal gates will not let anyone out of the Gate Area without permission, but at least there's some snacks set out, and Allstars Coffee is still open in case you need a coffee break. Your Hosts await you near the front behind the counters, carrying various, but all expectant attitudes. After all, we knew this was coming.

Welcome to trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will need to discuss the circumstances, investigate relevant locations, and put together theories about the truth behind this week's murders!

Trial will last from 9am PST/12pm EST until 6pm PST/9pm PST. There will be an hour-long break starting 1pm PST/4pm EST; while players are free to continue tagging during this time, it is intended to allow players to take a minute to eat, rest, what have you.

Lastly, voting is mandatory. Please be absolutely sure to get your IC vote in before the end of trial, or there are severe IC consequences!

DM the mods if you intend to use a curse during trial. Curse duration may be altered or subject entirely to mod approval depending on how many curses are in play. Curse duration must end before break.

Only one person will be executed regardless of the number of killers, correct?

In Heaven, killers who were not voted for were sometimes killed outside of the trials and it did not cause another trial to occur. What about here?

I don't know how it worked in Heaven, but if someone was killed outside of trial, the matter would be resolved at the next trial.

[they slightly suspect kaworu is trying to ask a different question.]

If someone commits an act of violence in public, everyone here can vote how they see fit. They can choose to execute that person or not.

So they could execute that person at the next trial instead of the currently possessed killer or choose to let them go free?

Or at the current one. You can all vote for anyone you like, at any time. That doesn't change.

[it doesn't really matter if someone killed or not, you can always just vote for them.]

That's true though a vote that doesn't create the majority is ultimately meaningless.

Regardless of the number of killers, you can only vote for one person, if that's what you mean.

You can only vote for one person to be executed. But that doesn't mean that the other can go free.

... At that point, there is no longer an official procedure, and it is up to everyone in the group to decide for themselves how they want to proceed.

So if we believe they should also they should also face justice we can take matters into our own hands without spiraling into endless trials?

If someone is killed outside of trial or execution, then there will be a trial next week for them. I only meant in the sense that there is no official procedure for how to handle those who escape the vote.

So it's up to us to decide to use the trial who to execute.

What if someone is killed at the trial itself?

Since you're already in a trial, it'll essentially count as a murder to be resolved at present, and people will respond accordingly to that.

So it truly is up to us in more ways than one.

[they think about this, before they manifest some pliers and hand it over to kaworu. on loan for this only so he will have to give them back once he's done with his extraction attempt, but here you go.]
