In the morning at 11:30am sharp, you hear the intercom speakers blare loudly across the entire airport, perfectly audible no matter where you are.

All passengers, please report to Terminal 0 Gate Area effective immediately. All passengers, please report to Terminal 0 Gate Area effective immediately...

...But that's so far...! Groan. Still—even if you try your best to resist, you'll find your body moving against your will and taking you all the way over there anyway. After what feels like forever of walking, you'll arrive to the gate and see that a few things are different. Most of you probably had a feeling this is what you should expect, right?

The gate has been refurnished a little bit for the proceedings today. The metal gates will not let anyone out of the Gate Area without permission, but at least there's some snacks set out, and Allstars Coffee is still open in case you need a coffee break. Your Hosts await you near the front behind the counters, carrying various, but all expectant attitudes. After all, we knew this was coming.

Welcome to trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will need to discuss the circumstances, investigate relevant locations, and put together theories about the truth behind this week's murders!

Trial will last from 9am PST/12pm EST until 6pm PST/9pm PST. There will be an hour-long break starting 1pm PST/4pm EST; while players are free to continue tagging during this time, it is intended to allow players to take a minute to eat, rest, what have you.

Lastly, voting is mandatory. Please be absolutely sure to get your IC vote in before the end of trial, or there are severe IC consequences!

DM the mods if you intend to use a curse during trial. Curse duration may be altered or subject entirely to mod approval depending on how many curses are in play. Curse duration must end before break.

starting from the head and working her way down. she's going to run her fingers through her hair and over the undercut, looking for any debris, blood, or scalp/skull injuries. ]

[there sure are scalp/skull injuries, because vi's head is... smashed in! basically her skull is caved in from the front. yikes. bits of her hair are ripped out as well.]

it's, like, pretty much her entire face/front of her head. it looks it was from repeated blunt hits rather than a singular one.]

no damage to the sides or back of the skull, just the front? did she die eyes open, or closed? either way will be checking them to see if they also suffered damages or there's any discolouration. i also assume that because of this her nose might be broken? ]

[no particular damage to the sides or back! it's hard to tell if her eyes are open or closed in all the damage but they probably look more open. it's safe to assume her nose is broken, yeah.]

[ well as long as they're IN THERE. probably a good thing she did this instead of strohl, actually. she'll try to check and see if there's anything in her eyes as best she can, before moving to nose and mouth. anything in either of them besides blood and broken teeth, i assume? cheese? debris?

also did the blunt force damage extend down to her chin/jaw as well? ]

[nothing in particular in her eyes or nose! the further down hulkenberg goes, the less damage there is. nothing in her mouth, but she is missing a molar. her chin/jaw is fine.]

[ upper portion of her face/skull then, got it. will check ears for anything - new piercings, injuries, anything in them - before moving on to neck. anything broken, move weird, bruises, anything that feels like it was stuck in her throat? ]

[she basically has blood/damage of some kind on all of her notable parts (torso/arms/legs), so you will have to check those parts individually for any further details.

in her pockets are:

Apologies, Vi. [ even if she probably wouldn't care. stripping her body and setting her clothes aside, checking her torso (front) first. notable injuries? she treated her CYOA injuries as she was healing so she's looking for anything unfamiliar, first. ]

[in terms of unfamiliar:

basically a chunk from the side of her torso is damaged/gone (messily, not like someone cut out a section of her body), left side from boob to hip. you can probably see a rib sticking out.]

By the crown - [ it's fine. it's fine, she's seen worse than this before. does it seem like something took a bite out of her, like there are bitemarks that she can find, or more that it was just... torn out through some other means, ig. is it front and back of torso? ]

[it doesn't look like a bite, more like ripped through some other means. it's her side, so yeah it probably encompasses some of both front and back.]

is there anything in the gaping wound besides meat and the bit of rib that's visible? any other injuries on her torso, front or back, that stand out besides the whole being riddled with bullet holes like swiss cheese thing? ]

[she's got a tattoo on her back, but there's nothing else of note about her torso besides any remnants of bloody cheese hulkenberg didn't fully clean off...]

[ she does not reach up to touch the choker of choice for trial, today, because of cheese and blood hands. but it's a near thing as she looks at the tattoo again.

alright, onto arms and hands. any residue or injuries to find, starting from shoulder to fingertip on both of them? checking mobility of joints from top to bottom as she goes, as well as her knuckles for any new damage and her nails for anything under them. ]

[right side, there are claw marks along the side and shrapnel in her forearm. there is also a minor injury on her wrist—not quite a cut, but it's like something got a bit of the side, if that makes sense. her hand is covered in blood on the palm and fingertips, and there are traces of dust on her palm.

left side, there are claw marks along the side, and something on her arm that looks like a slash wound but a little messed up. There is a hole in the middle of her palm.

nothing particular of note about her knuckles or nails besides anything said above, and the mobility is what you'd expect from a dead person. no broken bones or anything.]

[ starting with the left side, since there are fewer things, i'll just make a list:

- is there a set number of claw marks, like whatever got at her had five claws, four, etc?
- about how big compared to hulkenberg's hand/fingers are the claw marks?
- how big is the slash wound? are the edges what's messed up, or something else?
- how big is the hole in her palm, and does it go all the way through? what do the edges of it look like? ]

[about 4-5 marks on the arm. hulkenberg's fingers are roughly the same size as the claw marks. they are mayhaps not animal claw marks here.

the slash wound isn't too big or deep, and it's messed up in the sense it looks like maybe something else dug into it besides whatever caused the slash to begin with.

the hole is kind of like... a small blast? it's not a tiny dot, but it's not like her entire palm is gone either, if you get the idea. so it goes through and the edges are messy]

for the slash, is there any part of it that looks like a clean cut? can she compare her halberd blade to the whole thing, to see if there's any similarity?

for the hole, is it cauterised in any way from being a like. blast? ]

[it is a fairly small slash so it's hard to get a proper comparison, but in terms of like general slash width, the halberd blade might be similar? it's definitely not big enough length wise for it to be like the full edge of a halberd blade slashed this.

[ onwards to the right arm, then, as i ponder this slash:

- do the claw marks match the ones on the left arm? and are the marks on both arms in a particular spot (bicep, forearm, etc) or just on the generic sides of the arms?
- is the wrist injury like something maybe, like, clipped her at the wrist? an abrasion more than a cut, ja feel?
- where's the shrapnel at, and can she pick it out? how much is there and how big/small is it?
- if she uses a gauze pad from her first aid to-go satchel, can she carefully blot the blood on her palm to collect the dust? is it just... dust... in colour? or is it a special colour? ]
