W1: TRIAL

In the morning at 11:30am sharp, you hear the intercom speakers blare loudly across the entire airport, perfectly audible no matter where you are.
...But that's so far...! Groan. Still—even if you try your best to resist, you'll find your body moving against your will and taking you all the way over there anyway. After what feels like forever of walking, you'll arrive to the gate and see that a few things are different. Most of you probably had a feeling this is what you should expect, right?
The gate has been refurnished a little bit for the proceedings today. The metal gates will not let anyone out of the Gate Area without permission, but at least there's some snacks set out, and Allstars Coffee is still open in case you need a coffee break. Your Hosts await you near the front behind the counters, carrying various, but all expectant attitudes. After all, we knew this was coming.

Welcome to trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will need to discuss the circumstances, investigate relevant locations, and put together theories about the truth behind this week's murders!
Trial will last from 9am PST/12pm EST until 6pm PST/9pm PST. There will be an hour-long break starting 1pm PST/4pm EST; while players are free to continue tagging during this time, it is intended to allow players to take a minute to eat, rest, what have you.
Lastly, voting is mandatory. Please be absolutely sure to get your IC vote in before the end of trial, or there are severe IC consequences!
DM the mods if you intend to use a curse during trial. Curse duration may be altered or subject entirely to mod approval depending on how many curses are in play. Curse duration must end before break.

[ well the fire is slightly less of a worry than initially thought.

if there are two prints that are near to each other, she'll try and get a picture of both the prints next to her foot for some idea of the size of both. are there any more trampling patches anywhere? anything that could give them and idea of where the people here went to, their movements around the course?
also she's gonna check some holes. you never know. ]

tama can also look in all the holes, but she will not find anything. but she will find a set up golf clubs set up to be returned near one of the holes, and it looks like one of the clubs in there is sort of sparkly...?
dante will have to pick one of these things to look at first, but since tama is looking at the trampled grass, he can look at the debris. i assume he's steering a bit clear of the fire for now, but he will notice what looks like some broken glass. it is actually quite near more of the foot indents.]

okay, so first thing's first -- this golf club set. IS it bedazzled ala cl*ire's? or is it just weirdly sparkly for some reason? she'll give it a look over for any blood or dirt or dust, before making the choice to bring them with her.
once she's done that, she will pick the smaller set of footprints and follow them to see where they lead. ]

most of the golf clubs tama sees are normal. tama only sees one sparkly club, but when she examines it, she sees its not a club at all, it's a sparkly pink staff. so yes, she can bring that with her.
tama can also follow the trail of indents. she will see that they run around the course, and there are more small black feathers here and there along with them. and then, at a certain point, there's a small splatter of blood in the grass, and after that if she continues to follow the indents, she will spot more red in the grass along with the indents here and there.
at this point, north will come jogging back with a fire extinguisher.]

[anyway someone can take this extinguisher and try to extinguish one of the fires if they'd like.]

pockets the fabric scrap. takes a picture of the glass shards just in case, and NOW starts pocketing them with his bare hands and shoving them into another pocket. it's fine.

[ for the moment at least. i see there is blood for the blood gods en route here. what else is there to peek at here, hm. nothing else along the trail? no rhinestones, or... ]

north will hand dante the extinguisher, so he can go on ahead and put it out! it will take him a bit to put out the windmill, but once he does, he will see some additional glass shards at the base of the windmill.
the staff is for trial eyes. but tama can continue to follow the trail. yes, the red she sees here is blood! there are blood drips like whoever was running was bleeding and then, over near the area where she found the golf clubs, tama will see another area where there is blood splatter in the grass. after that, the trail continues, and there is even more red mixed in with the grass.]

is the smell here too? does the glass look like it matches the glass from earlier? and if he peeks into the windmill, is there anything else in there? ]

So, someone was definitely injured -- maybe Anders, because of the feathers? [ interesting.
if dante's done with the extinguisher here, she'll nab it and go to try and put out the other fires to make sure there's nothing there. ]

he will not see anything else in the windmill. he can hand off the extinguisher to tama so she can go put out the other fire. as he does, though, he may notice that some of the red in the grass near the trampled indents, a little away from the windmill, is not blood.
tama goes and extinguishes the other fire! there is now a burnt and crispy golf green and also more broken glass in that area.]

someone really wanted this glass to remain unfound. does it look like it's melted a little or not...?
and while she's over here, are there more footprints and blood splatters to indicate an ongoing chase? ]

tama will find more glass. you will need trial eyes for meltiness. but yes, the trampled chase scene and blood splatters does pass nearby the scorched areas and then heads out the door.]
I'm realizing now I can summon an extinguisher. [oops.] Shall we return?

dante pockets the chips as well and then stands up. ]

[ runs to snap a photo of the blood drips leading to the golf course, bc he didn't do that earlier. ]
