In the morning at 11:30am sharp, you hear the intercom speakers blare loudly across the entire airport, perfectly audible no matter where you are.

All passengers, please report to Terminal 0 Gate Area effective immediately. All passengers, please report to Terminal 0 Gate Area effective immediately...

...But that's so far...! Groan. Still—even if you try your best to resist, you'll find your body moving against your will and taking you all the way over there anyway. After what feels like forever of walking, you'll arrive to the gate and see that a few things are different. Most of you probably had a feeling this is what you should expect, right?

The gate has been refurnished a little bit for the proceedings today. The metal gates will not let anyone out of the Gate Area without permission, but at least there's some snacks set out, and Allstars Coffee is still open in case you need a coffee break. Your Hosts await you near the front behind the counters, carrying various, but all expectant attitudes. After all, we knew this was coming.

Welcome to trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will need to discuss the circumstances, investigate relevant locations, and put together theories about the truth behind this week's murders!

Trial will last from 9am PST/12pm EST until 6pm PST/9pm PST. There will be an hour-long break starting 1pm PST/4pm EST; while players are free to continue tagging during this time, it is intended to allow players to take a minute to eat, rest, what have you.

Note: DM the mods if you intend to use a curse during trial. Curse duration may be altered or subject entirely to mod approval depending on how many curses are in play. Curse duration must end before break.

Lastly, voting is mandatory. Please be absolutely sure to get your IC vote in before the end of trial, or there are severe IC consequences!

how big is the gash itself? is it straight across? jaggedly sawn or torn open? is it shallow or deep in terms of the depth of it if he can carefully shine a light along it from his phone light? ]

[ it's a slash that goes across her throat, and it's a fairly clean cut. it's a rather deep cut as well. notes for artemy that it cut her left carotid artery since that seems like the kind of thing he'd see and recognize ]

but okay wow, carotid means lots of hemorrhaging... it's weird that it only seems to kind of come to the top of her crop top? the blood around the area of the wound being smudged, is it smudged all around the wound itself?

he'll also start to remove her jacket and fold it to set it aside, anything in here to report to evidence? ]

[ it smudged around the wound itself! he might notice as he's trying to move her that the back of her neck is extremely blood and so is the back of her head.

he might notice that there is also blood on the left shoulder of her jacket, which would align with the carotid artery being cut.

in fact, there's some resistance in trying to remove her jacket because her right hand is in the pocket of her jacket. ]

then addressing the hand first since he's in the middle of jacket removal. if he slips her hand out of her pocket, is there anything up with it? is it holding anything at all? is anything up with her arm while he's here?

i'll rewind back to neck/head in a moment. ]

[ the arm is in the jacket sleeve so it'd be hard to tell right away. as he looks at her hand, he'll notice that there's a bit of blood around the cuffs.

her right hand is holding onto her phone! gripping onto it, it seems. murder magic means that rigor mortis hasn't set in entirely probably but there's enough of a hold to make it clear she was holding on. her hand is bloodied as well, some of it getting on her phone...

and the hand itself seems to be made of smooth, sleek metal. ]

how much blood is on her phone and hand, as well as the cuff itself? he won't remove the sleeve yet because he wants to make sure he doesn't just wipe it off before documenting it.

how's she gripping it like, all four fingers and thumb around it? like you would maybe if you were fiddling with your phone covertly? just curious if there's anything like that going on.

anything up with her metal hand otherwise? scrapes? gouges? dings from looking at it like this? ]

[ there's not that much blood on her right hand, but there's still enough to be distinct. the blood appears to be centered around the heel of her palm and her fingers, more around her index finger and becoming gradually less toward her pinky finger.

but that's how she's holding her phone, yes! entire hand encapsulating it.

her hand is completely smooth, however! ]

[ carefully pulling her phone out of her grip then and putting it off to the side. turning her paw over and back just to be sure and checking her metal fingers as well to examine.

after that, he'll widen the sleeve with his fingers at the cuff and draw the rest of the jacket off her arm/ and body. anything hinky here now that he can see it or naw? more blood less blood signs of a fight? is it metal going upward?

[ her metal fingers just have the blood in the noted places. no fingernails! whoa that's cool

as he removes her jacket, he'll notice that her arms are that same metal material up to about mid-arm. (this link can be a lil finicky so just refresh a couple times if it doesn't show up) there are no injuries on her arms, though as he's taking the jacket off the left side, he'll notice that her left hand is extremely bloody. the left sleeve is also much bloodier than the right. ]

whoa her hand is extremely bloody? like all over it or concentrated anywhere in particular like palm or knuckles? or just like this is also Probable Carotid Artery mess similar to the blood on her shoulder?

[ it's extremely bloody. most of it is on her palm, but there's definitely some blood that leaked onto the back of her hand. how would he tell if it's related to the carotid artery mess?

[ uses my noggin arterial blood is oxygenated and therefore brighter than venous blood??? im sweaty but he'd know that. she's wearing dark colors but if he touches it could that reflect it at all? it's okay if not since she's been dead a bit but idk murder mortis. shoots my shot.

folding the jacket up with the phone and putting it to the side, he'll go back to her head now like i said i would!

if he palpates the back of her neck gently now is there another wound? he'll gently move fingers along the back of her skull as well to check for any dips/crushed bone/Holes/sources of Blood. ]

[ you know what char for the smartypants answer you can have it. the blood has probably oxidized because time has passed but i think you deserve extra credit points. the amount of blood on her hand can reflect the amount you'd expect from a carotid injury

i will give you that while he's folding up the jacket, there's some resistance in the left pocket this time...

and there's no other wounds on her head! her face is untouched. once again queen shit. however the back of her head and neck are extremely bloody even so... and at the top of her head, his hands will graze....

though of note is that on her face, where there was previously scarring marks, it's now clear! not even a hint of them. how'd that happen

it's not like her head is covered in cheese and lettuce, but more that it got caught in her hair. as for the white stuff it is not powdery or shredded but instead.... creamy........ ]

[ muttered as he will now reglove his hands with a fresh pair and start in on the bloody area of her chest now since you mentioned blood on her chest earlier. is that blood you're referring to the bit that reaches the top of her crop top? or is there blood in the middle of her crop top... is there any blood seeping down the bottom of it? does she have any bruises or wounds on her exposed slivery of Tummy from the picture i'm seeing of her clothes? ]

[ the blood that is on her chest seems to be coming from her slashed throat! there is more blood on the back of her shoulders - it would've been in the appropriate matching places on her jacket as well. just a whole bunch of blood up there, but it doesn't extend any further than the top of her crop top

there are no other injuries or bruises on her upper body. ]

examining her lower body from the front now - anything of note on her waist/hips/legs besides the fact that she's a beautiful queen? any wounds or slashes? any blood on her knees/shins/shoes? anything on her shoes or under them in the treads at all? if he palpates gently along the area of her legs, anything broken or out of place?

[ on her right leg, there is a cut that slices right through her cute tights nooooo

it's below the knee, and in more of a diagonal (starting at the top from the right, then slashing downward to the left). the blood drips downward into her sock and shoe, as well as back onto her calf. there's just a bit of blood on the heel of her shoe, toward the rim of it. nothing on the sole itself. ]

below the knee, where does the slash stop in its diagonal trail on her leggie? is it a deep cut or shallow cut if he examines it with the light on his phone again. nothing on the left leg if he checks? ]

the cut is deeper at the top and becomes more shallow at the bottom. it's along the length of her shin, so it stops a bit above her ankle

using the sheet and rolling it up carefully in such a way he can kind of pillow her skull and protect her neck wound from distorting, he will roll her onto her less bloody side (the right, not the left) and check out her shoulders where there was a lot of blood. are there any wounds here on her back or anything if he works his way down. if he pulls up the back of her shirt can he see any wounds or anything back there? or bruises? ]
